Want to learn the basics of chess? Join us for a fun and welcoming introduction to the game. Over the course of 6 weeks, participants will learn how the pieces move, basic rules and strategies, and Want to learn the basics of chess? Join us for a fun and welcoming introduction to the game. Over the course of 6 weeks, participants will learn how the pieces move, basic rules and strategies, and how to get started playing their own games.


Our chess coach will help players develop as thinkers by building focus, confidence, and creativity through the game in an environment that's supportive and adaptable to different learning needs.

No previous chess experience is required; this program is suitable for beginners!
Registration is required. This program is for autistic individuals, ages 6-12 years. Due to the limited class size, we ask that participants who register can attend all six weeks. Max 2 children per family.

Cost: $30/child. No refunds.

Dates: Mondays, September 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 19, and 26, 2026.

Registered participants will receive an email closer to the event date with any and all updates pertaining to this event. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders.

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
