This workshop will introduce parents, caregivers, and professionals supporting Autistic individuals of any age to different teaching approaches for skill building. Participants will learn various strategies for teaching skills, such as using visual supports, prompting, and motivation.
As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:
- identify the importance of prompting, motivation, and reinforcement when teaching
- define processing time and state its importance
- describe ways to support and minimize stress during transitions
