Program Leader: Vidhi Acharya
Community singing is a welcoming space where all voices—brand new to singing, experienced and everyone in-between—gather to sing together with no audition, no music reading, no pressure, no performance.
You are welcome to sing strongly, sing softly, hum, or simply listen and rest in the sound around you. Together, we explore how breath and song can help us feel a little more grounded, connected, and not so alone. Because when voices come together, something shifts.

YOU ALREADY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO SING! QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS1. I’ve never sung in a group before, is it okay?
Yes, absolutely! Our songs are learned by ear, following the oral tradition of call-and-response. Simply put, you just repeat after me. No prior singing experience is needed.
2. What kind of songs will we sing?
We choose songs that are nourishing and provide support on life's journey. These are simple, "don't make me think" songs that help us move from our heads into our bodies. They're simple, accessible, and designed to help us connect with ourselves and each other.
3. How should I prepare for the sessions?
No preparation needed. Come exactly as you are — whether you're tired, energized, stressed, or anywhere in between. There's no "right" way to show up.
4. I'm shy or have anxiety about singing with others. Is this for me?
Yes. This is a completely judgment-free space. You can hum, listen, or simply be present. Many people discover their voice here after years of silence. You're held, not pushed.
5. Can men/non-binary folks/older adults come?
Absolutely. All humans, regardless of age, background, or gender identity, are welcome. This is for everyone seeking community through song.
