Our vocational skills curricula help establish and develop participants’ skills related to exploring and attaining volunteer and employment opportunities. Using evidence-based strategies and curricula, the aim of this group is to prepare participants for seeking, applying for and maintaining employment. Topics explored: daily living skills necessary for employment success (establishing reasonable sleep schedule, maintaining a healthy diet, personal care and hygiene strategies), preparing a resume, searching and applying for jobs, interview skills, and appropriate work apparel.
This program is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst and is an eligible expense under Core Clinical Services (CCS) within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)

- Partial Refund (50% of total): 14-29 calendar days’ notice prior to service start date
- No Refund: fewer than 14 calendar days’ notice prior to service start date

Please note: You are currently registering for a mandatory sample session. Payment is not required at this time. Registration for a sample session does not guarantee a space in this group/camp. After the sample session a Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps.
Once a group registration request is received on My Community Hub, a Kerry’s Place Intake staff will reach out to request updated documentation, as needed. Documentation includes: Written diagnosis of ASD, Kerry’s Place Service Agreement (valid for 1 year), Supported Person Profile (valid for 1 year), Media Release (valid for 1 year), and others as needed.
Please expect a call from Kerry’s Place to confirm your registration. You will then receive a reminder email 48 hours prior to the session from the facilitators that will include further details related to screening instructions, sign-in/sign-out procedures or Microsoft Teams Link (if applicable).
