In this 2 ½ hour workshop, participants will learn about the concept of “letting in” and how to respond when a child or youth shares their gender identity and/or sexuality with them. Strategies for supporting a youth in their letting in journey will be discussed and includes how to prepare for conversations with the other adults in the youth’s life.
As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will:
- recognize the impact of parental reaction to 2SLGBTQ+ youth sharing their identity
- list the approaches for how to respond when their child discloses their identity
- apply the strategies learned to navigate difficult conversations with other adults

Letting In: Supporting 2SLGBTQ+ Youth will be delivered virtually via Zoom and will not be recorded for future viewing.
