This group session is for Autistic children who want to grow their participation and play skills so they can thrive in group settings. Participants will join together in short activities like action songs, labelling activities, physical movement, cooperative play and crafts. These activities will develop communication and turn-taking skills, the ability to focus, respond to instructions, and imitate sounds and movements – all with the goal of preparing children for group settings.

Registration NotesPlease note: Once a group registration request is received on My Community Hub, a Kerry’s Place Intake staff will reach out to request updated documentation, as needed. Documentation includes: Written diagnosis of ASD, Kerry’s Place Service Agreement (valid for 1 year), Supported Person Profile (valid for 1 year), Media Release (valid for 1 year), and others as needed.
You will receive a reminder email 48 hours prior to the session from the facilitators that will include further details related to drop-off and pick-up instructions, sign-in/sign-out procedures.
You will have the opportunity to attend a sample session so your child can meet the staff facilitating the group and familiarize themselves with the space the group will take place in.
