Service Description:
|
Diagnosis and treatment services for seniors experiencing a wide range of cognitive disorders including but not limited to: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), Parkinson-related cognitive dysfunction and Stroke-related memory dysfunction
Patient exclusions: Developmental disorders that do not predispose to dementia, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Occupational and environmental exposure, Traumatic brain injury, Alcohol/substance abuse, Multiple sclerosis, Toxic encephalopathy, Terminal illness with poor prognosis (i.e. GBM)
Services Offered:
- standardized comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) completed by a Geriatrician and Occupational Therapist
- patients may also be seen by other health care professionals in this clinic if deemed necessary and appropriate by any member of the interdisciplinary team
