COSTI Enhanced Language Training Program For Accounting/Teaching/Office Adminstration/IT Professionals

The Enhanced Language Training (ELT) program for the following professions: Accounting and Finance, Teaching, IT, and Office Administration at COSTI Immigrant Services in Brampton starts early January 2015.

This is a no cost program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The program is ideal for newcomers who have acquired professional qualifications outside of Canada and who have been unable to access employment in their field of expertise in Canada.

The program consists of:
•Canadian workplace language and culture training
•on-line sector specific language and terminology
•computer upgrading (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. OR Simply Accounting, QuickBooks and Excel)
•pre-employment preparation workshops (e.g. resume preparation, interview techniques, workplace culture, ethics, employment standards, goal setting, labour market information, cold calling and networking, etc.)
•6 weeks volunteer placement and ongoing job search support after completion of program

Transportation allowance will be available to those who qualify.
